Salmonberry Pie

Kiah, Adella, and Braith were salmonberry pickers extradoniare.  They picked and picked and picked some more salmonberries and ate them and ate them and ate them some more.

This was the first pie they made with very little help from me.  It turned out pretty good.

Here are the girls each doing their jobs.  Kiah is mixing the berry mixture for the the filling.  Braith is eating the left over berries that did not fit into the pie.  And Adella is rolling out the top of the pie crust.

Pie filling.  You can see that some blueberries snuck into the pie as well.  Next time I really need to put in more sugar, it was quite tart.

The finished product.  I meant to get a picture before we cut it but oh well!  It was pretty good and the girls had a great time.
